Iran Aseel OR Irani Lari Asil Gamefowl Top Quality Aseel Farming in Pakistan at Gamefowl and aseel farm by Moaawiz Malik.
Lari Asil is one the largest breed of Asil species. It's homeland is Persia (Iran & Afghanistan). The rooster can get as tall as 32-36 inches and weigh 10-12 Lbs. They are very aggressive birds and in their original country they are used as fighting roosters. Their ancestors go back to Malay breed, but over hundreds of years of selective breeding they have evolved to what they are today.

Game fowl from Afghanistan, the centre of large asil outside Indian subcontinent.
In Afghanistan these big Asil are also known "Kulangi". Similar to some Central Asian states like Uzbekistan and Dagestan were these big Asil are known as "Kulanga". An Afghani guy overhere told me that he knows those large Asil under the name "Morgh Graaz".
It can be ' Morog Raj' which means 'king of cocks'
●Characteristics
Afghani asil or kulangi belongs to the large asil family. roosters are big and heavily built and hens look like giant ordinery chickens with long legs and necks. The best specimens come with white shanks, a peacomb and a horizontal tail, a sloping tail is sometimes called Pakistani style. Compared to sindhi (Pakistani asil) Afghani asils are lower stationed and much more muscular
●Fighting style
Afghani asils are fought with sharpened natural spurs. They are tough gigantic birds with a defensive style and extremely difficult to kill. Like all asils they are known for their speed, accuracy and gameness, but what makes them so special is their tremendous power, death blows are very common and they often break their own toes and spurs early in the game. Afghan asil are excellent fighters with lots of push and defencive style. They have done good in naked heel and now some have made their succes in tap boxing too.

● Indian Theekar Aseel is a large Asil from Southern India (and Bangladesh). These large Asil are mainly found in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala but also in Bangladesh. These large and heavy birds upto ± 5 Kg (11 Lbs) are fought in nakedheels but also used for knife-fighting. The birds are armed with only one big doubled edged knife which is tied under the foot.
-This also makes an end to an American cocker tale saying that Asil run if hit with steel (a quote from the The Gamecock magazine).
According Mr.Mullapudi Narendranath from Andhra Pradesh the knife-fighting style has been adopted from the Malaysian peninsula and was introduced into India by the South Indian Dravidians, people with great seafaring skills. After years of research (since 1997) I have come to the conclusion that these birds are the true ancestors of the birds we today know as "Malays". South Indian Asil show beside having peacombs also very often walnut combs (locally known as theeker / theekar) and a wing carriage higher carried then the -regular- large Asil (remark-not like the up pointing shoulders like the Japanese Shamo).
● An interesting variety of these large Asil are the birds with a socalled parrot-beak and a very long tail. These are not ornamental birds but genuine fighting fowl !

In order to consistently lay eggs, hens need about 16 hours of daylight and 8 hours of darkness when they're roosting. Once less than 12 hours of daylight is available, egg productions slows down considerably if not ceases completely.
The most common causes of weak shells eggs in your flock are:
Old Hens – Shell strength declines steadily as hens get older. If you buy old hens from a commercial farm, they are already well past their prime for shell quality.
Calcium Deficiency – To supply the calcium needed to make good shells, 10% of the feed must be supplied as limestone or oyster shell. For birds in floor pens, a hanging feeder of limestone or oyster shell can be used as the calcium source. When a layer diet is used as the sole source of calcium, restricted feed consumption due to crowding and other problems can also restrict calcium intake.
Poor Calcium Sources – Insoluble granite grit and egg shells are poor sources.
Excess Phosphorous – Too much phosphorous in the diet will decrease shell thickness. If you make your own feed, carefully weigh out the amount of mineral phosphorous.
Early Production – Hens that begin egg production before you get them on a good layer diet can rapidly deplete their bone reserves of calcium.
High Temperature – Temperature over 32°C stresses the hens and reduces shell strength.
Vitamin D3 Deficiency – Hens need a commercial source of vitamin D3 in the feed. Deficiency is most visible in the winter months when the birds get less sunlight and make less vitamin D3 on their own.
Infectious Bronchitis – This virus readily attacks the shell gland of unvaccinated birds.
